At Rareview we do not follow one methodology or use only one tool for maintaining web metrics. Rather, we utilize a set of tools, paired with human quality assurance testing, to ensure a client’s vitals are never in jeopardy.
The following requirements pertain to any and all websites that we create, produce, and launch at Rareview. These items can often times be forgotten about when ensuring a site goes live on time. But… it’s critical that all our sites meet the following criteria.
Accessibility
- WCAG 2.1 AA required
- AAA is ideal
Performance
- Page speed score rating of “A”
- Load times under 1 second

Images
The recommend image format for the web today is WEBP and no longer JPG. WEBP is supported by all browsers (for Safari only Safari 14 on BigSur). Work is being done on newer image formats such as AVIF and JPEG200 that will offer even better performance.
Create images in both vertical and horizontal format for mobile and desktop devices.
